Task: To support the acquisition of Expobank by Barclays plc, to support Barclays Group’s activities on the Russian market, to integrate Expobank into Barclays internal system, and to build and improve internal communications.
Action: M&P developed a communications strategy for Barclays entry into the Russian market, and audited and prepared all communication tools for the deal announcement. The integration project included querying Expobank’s employees about their satisfaction. Based on the survey findings, M&P developed an internal communications strategy and plan.
Results: We ensured coverage of the transaction by Russia’s leading financial and business media; informed the target audiences about the successful acquisition; scheduled communication activities for the second half of 2008; and formed an information database in Russian and in English in conformity with Barclays global standards.
